Biographical Sketch:

John Philip DuMoulin (1834-1911) was born in Dublin Ireland.  Enrolled at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, received his M.A. from Bishop’s, 1878, his D.C.L. from the University of Trinity College, Toronto, 1889 and his D.D. from Bishop’s, 1899.  Ordained deacon in 1862 and ordained priest in 1863.  Curate at St. John’s Church, London Township, 1862-1864, curate of Trinity Church, Galt, 1864-1866 and curate of Church of St. James the Apostle, Montreal, 1870-1871.  Rector of St. Thomas Church, Hamilton, 1871-1874, rector of St. Martin’s Church, Montreal, and rector of St. James’ Cathedral, Toronto.  Consecrated Bishop of Niagara in 1896.
