Peter John Hamel (1940- ), educated at McMaster University, Hamilton, Wycliffe College, Toronto and Trinity College, Cambridge, England.  Ordained deacon in 1964 and  priest in 1965.  Appointed curate of St. John, Toronto, 1964-1966, curate of Grace Church, Toronto, 1968-1969 and tutor to Bishop Tucker of Theological College, Mukono, 1970-1972.  Chaplain and lecturer at Carleton University, Ottawa, 1973-1977 and Consultant of National Affairs of the Anglican Church of Canada, 1977-1993.

Fonds consists of papers on environmental issues, mainly pertaining to Canada and Central America.  Slides of Peter Hamel and other figures in Uganda.
