Making Disciples: the Catechumenate in the Anglican Church
Liturgical Rites and Resources for Those Seeking Faith
The following resources were created by a small group of lay people and clergy working with John Hill, as a further development of the ideas in his book Making Disciples. These resources aim to make the catechumenate easier both to understand and implement in the parish, and to offer specific examples of how parishes have adapted the catechumenate to their own situations.
They are offered here by the Liturgy Working Group of Faith, Worship and Ministry for the purposes of study and evaluation, and for use and adaptation (where permitted by the local ordinary).
We request your feedback on these rites and resources which, though not authorized by the General Synod or the Council of General Synod, are offered by the Liturgy Working Group in order to stimulate reflection on the catechumenate and other processes of Christian initiation, and the rites related to them.
