Parishes, dioceses and institutions of the Anglican Church of Canada are required to comply with Canada Revenue Agency standards and Canadian charity law in sending tax-protected dollars abroad to mission partners. Failure to comply with these standards and laws endangers the charitable status of parishes, dioceses, schools, and other church entities.

An agency agreement is required for sending tax-protected donations beyond Canada. Agreements must state terms of reference and be signed by a senior leader in both sending and receiving organizations.

Global Relations will assist local parishes, dioceses, and institutions with further information about agency agreements and provide an agreement template. For more information, contact Dr. Andrea Mann, Director, Global Relations, by email or phone: (604) 822-5220.
