On November 6th, 2011, The Diocese of Ottawa and Diocese of Jerusalem officially endorsed a covenant of companionship toward continued cooperation in mission and justice. The covenant signing took place during a visit of an 8 person delegation from the Diocese of Ottawa to Jerusalem, Ramallah and Galilee in October 2011. Both dioceses had planned and prayed for this development for several years. The Dioceses of Ottawa and Jerusalem share a long history of friendship and activity through visits, studies and exchanges between bishops, clergy, lay adults and youth groups.
