Walk of Witness, September 25, 2008
A Day of Prayer, Fasting and Witness for the Millennium Development Goals
“The Provinces of the Anglican Communion call for a day of prayer and fasting and witness on 25th September 2008 when there is a special session of the United Nations to discuss the Millennium Development Goals.” — 2008 Lambeth Conference Reflections Document

Bishops march to support the MDGs at the 2008 Lambeth Conference
On September 25, world leaders gathered at the United Nations in New York to re-energize the world’s commitment to the Millennium Development Goals.
On that day, Canadian Anglicans and Lutherans lead an ecumenical walk in Ottawa to witness for an end to the scandal of global poverty and hunger.
We were invited to join in solidarity with people of faith the world over in prayer and action.
