Volunteer in Mission program
In 2011, the closing of the Volunteer in Mission (VIM) program ends 25 years of national coordination of long-term, voluntary, Canadian Anglican mission personnel. The Rev. Emilie Smith, Diocese of New Westminster, concludes her VIM commitment with the Diocese of Guatemala in October 2011. Emilie’s local support group, however, is pleased to announce the continuation of her work with Peace House in Santa Cruz del Quiché for another two years, and is working actively to enable this ministry. All who are interested in supporting the Guatemala mission are invited to contact the Rev. Dr. Angus Stuart, convenor, Guatemala Mission Support Team: angus.stuart@telus.net This website will cover continuing news of Emilie’s work and the Guatemala Mission.

A prayer from Emilie:
Creator God, Ajaw, Maker of Heaven and Earth, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown.
Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
