Provide an opportunity for those interested in mission and church planting to learn from each other. An annual 3-day conference in Toronto focussed on mission and church planting, with a different theme each year. Former plenary speakers have included David Fitch (Northern Seminary, Chicago), Mike Moynagh (Fresh Expressions UK), and Bishop Graham Cray (team leader, Fresh Expressions). Past themes have included “Disciple-Making” (2013) and “Charting our Waters” (2016). 2016 workshops included Mandarin ministry, a case study in an urban emerging church plant (St. Bridget, Vancouver), a case study in a Christian community offering drop in programs and outreach for people experiencing marginalization (The Dale Ministries), and an opportunity to work with World Vision Canada staff to analyze how your ministry is connected to and serving the needs of your local community.
