Heavenly Father we praise your Holy Name! Our hearts are made glad through relationship with You and those that You have sent to be with us in this time and place. Help us and the church to recognize that You send us to places we never intended to go, and place us in roles we had no knowledge or intention of doing. It is in those places and in those roles that we find Your message and Your love. Help us to be present, to listen, to learn and to act.

We pray for strong leaders who listen and are present to the needs and concerns of others. We pray for leadership decisions to be made in your name – decisions that do not divide us but give the church stability and hope. We humbly pray for more times of “heart gladness”, less “heart ache” and a church and people filled with the knowledge of your Love. Amen
