The national House of Bishops includes all diocesan, coadjutor and suffragan bishops. While it does not make legislative decisions, the House provides spiritual and pastoral leadership and supports dioceses and the Church in implementing General Synod resolutions. Its work includes:
- Offering guidance on church teaching (doctrine), worship and discipline
- Advising dioceses, clergy and lay members on Church life
- Helping ensure ministry is faithful and consistent across Canada
