Supporting faithful action for justice, the Public Witness for Social and Ecological Justice Coordinating Committee encourages Anglicans to put their faith into action through advocacy, education and community engagement. Its priorities include:
- migrant justice
- care for creation
- homelessness and housing
- restorative justice
- peacebuilding
By coordinating national strategies, supporting local initiatives and connecting the Church with broader networks, the committee strengthens the work of the Lead Animator for Public Witness for Social and Ecological Justice and expands the Church’s capacity to respond faithfully to social and ecological challenges.
Coordinating committees oversee and coordinate the work of staff, task forces, working groups and commissions. Additional details about this committee are available in its Terms of Reference (section II.1) in Appendix B of the Handbook of the General Synod.
