The Canadian Companions of Jerusalem is a national, voluntary community within the Anglican Church of Canada, dedicated to supporting the Church in the land of Christ’s birth, death and resurrection. Open to Anglicans and friends across Canada, the Companions provide opportunities to learn, pray and act alongside Christians living and serving in the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.
As Companions, we focus on four key areas: education, advocacy, pilgrimage and financial support. We deepen understanding of the Church’s mission and daily realities in the Holy Land, help Canadians travelling there connect with the “living stones”—Christians continuing the work of Christ today—encourage peace-building with Anglican and ecumenical partners, and support ministries such as healthcare, schools and parish outreach.
We invite Anglicans in Canada to join as Companions, learning, praying, advocating, travelling or giving in support of the Church in Jerusalem and its vital ministries.
