Hope is possible. Healing is real. Communities lead the way.

The Suicide Prevention & Response Program equips communities to lead in prevention and respond with care when suicide occurs. Rooted in cultural wisdom and shaped by Scripture, the program reduces stigma, fosters healing and encourages life-affirming actions.

Each community shapes its own journey. The program offers flexible support options, including workshops, peer support, storytelling spaces and remembrance events—all grounded in listening, trust and respect.

Behind the statistics are real people—families, youth, Elders—each carrying stories of pain, resilience and hope. We stand with you.

What we offer

  • Support groups and cultural gatherings
  • Mental health and awareness workshops
  • Youth-focused community events
  • Annual remembrance dinners
  • Writing and storytelling circles

Modelled on the Brightening the Spirit—Breaking the Silence initiative from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory and also supported by the Lenne Lenape Algonkian Iroquois Council, the program builds on community strengths and supports long-term healing.
