We begin a new Christian year with the season of Advent. The liturgical colour for Advent is a hopeful blue, and as the weeks unfold, our worship takes on an expectant tone as we anticipate the joyful feast of Christmas.
Advent reminds us to always be ready to welcome Christ, within ourselves, in our communities, and in those we serve. God became a human person in Jesus to reveal God’s life-giving grace to us in a way that we can readily see and understand, and when we recognize that God’s grace is with us and within us, our willingness to serve blossoms and grows.
As we move through the seasons of the Christian year, we are, from coast to coast to coast, drawn together as a community of worship and service. At the heart of our capacity to worship and serve are thousands of people in the parishes and ministries of the dioceses that make up the Anglican Church of Canada. We see powerful evidence of the grace of God in the hearts, hands, voices and faces of those who serve in our Church.
A gift to Giving with Grace directly supports those who work tirelessly and selflessly to enable worship and service in our Council of the North dioceses, in our Sacred Circle and Indigenous Ministries, in our global partnerships and through the convening, connecting and communicating work of Church House. Your support makes a meaningful difference in the life and ministry of our beloved Church.
By the grace of God, we can look forward to many more celebrations of the seasons of the Christian year until all creation is drawn home to God in Christ at the end of time. Giving with Grace is a wonderful way to give thanks along the way.
With sincere thanks for your generosity and kindest blessings,
Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada
