Ecumenically Agreed Liturgical Texts from the ELLC
Ecumenically Agreed Liturgical Texts from the English Language Liturgical Consultation are authorized supplemental rites for use in public worship across the Anglican Church of Canada. Approved by General Synod in 2023 (Resolution A125), these texts include widely used creeds and canticles such as the Gloria, Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, Te Deum, Magnificat and Benedictus.
Developed through broad ecumenical collaboration, the texts provide clear, contemporary English renderings grounded in deep theological scholarship. They support common worship across denominations while honouring long-standing liturgical tradition.
