The new Handbook of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada is now available online. It can also be downloaded as a PDF file.
What is this resource? The General Synod handbook describes how the Anglican Church of Canada governs itself. It contains the constitution and all the rules and canons of the church as well as terms of reference for committees and some historical information. Every three years the handbook is updated to reflect the decisions made at the most recent General Synod gathering as well as revisions from the Council of General Synod, the church’s governing body for the years between General Synods.
The handbook will soon be available for purchase from the Anglican Book Centre and will be mailed to dioceses, bishops and certain committees by mid-March.
