Administrative History:

The Council for the Faith was created on April 1, 1967 to organize opposition to the union of the Anglican and United Churches in Canada.  It expanded its concerns on a national level to fight several proposals for change within the Anglican Church of Canada.  The council disbanded in 1983.

Custodial History:
Collection was acquired by the Archives from Andrew Stahl in 1976. An additional accrual was received from Eric Beresford who donated Fr. Peter Hannen’s files in 2004.
Scope and Content:

Fonds consists of correspondence, essays, newsletters, publications, bulletins, annual reports, minutes and an issue of “The Communicator”.
