Canadian Anglicans are invited to pray for their brothers and sisters south of the border as The Episcopal Church’s General Convention gets under way today in Anaheim, Calif.

Like our General Synod, the Episcopal Church General Convention meets every three years and is the chief governing body of the U.S. Church.

General Convention is comprised of the House of Bishops, with more than 200 members, and the House of Deputies, made up of about 850 clergy and lay members from the church’s 110 dioceses.

The Canadian Primate, Archbishop Fred Hiltz, and Archdeacon Michael Pollesel, General Secretary of the General Synod, will be attending parts of General Convention.
