St. George’s College, Jerusalem, offering discount

The North American regional committee of St. George’s College, Jerusalem, is offering a discount to Anglican seminarians at the master’s or doctoral level who have never attended a St. George’s course.

The offer is to allow full-time Episcopal and Anglican Church of Canada seminarians to attend any Jerusalem-based course of 14 days or less. The cost of the course would be U.S. $500 instead of the regular cost of U.S.$2,000. The price covers tuition, room and board. Airfare and other costs are the responsibility of the participants.

Full-time Episcopal Church or Anglican Church of Canada students who attend other accredited seminaries are also eligible. Students may be ordained or lay.

However, the offer is restricted to four students from each Episcopal or Anglican Church of Canada seminary and a yet-to-be-determined number from other seminaries.

The deadline for applications is Oct. 1, 2005 and the courses selected must be Jerusalem-based and must commence prior to October 1, 2006.

St. George’s College is one of three continuing education centres in the Anglican Communion. It is located on the grounds of St. George’s Cathedral, just north of the Old City in Jerusalem. The college offers a year-round schedule of courses and programs that are designed to broaden participants’ understanding of the Bible, the history of the church, and the reality of present-day life in the Holy Land.
