Info! coming soon to your parish’s email inbox

It’s about a 1,850 km drive from All Saints Anglican Church in Canso, Nova Scotia, to the General Synod offices in Toronto.

And it would take two straight days of driving to get from St. John the Divine Anglican Church in Quesnel, B.C., to the national office.

Even if your church is geographically close (like St. Bartholomew’s, only three km away), it’s easy to feel far away from the national office. Especially when you’re busy with parish and diocesan life.

This is why General Synod is coming to you. A new monthly email newsletter called Info! News from General Synod will help bridge these gaps between the national office and parishes.

Every month this news digest, the idea for which originated with General Synod’s Communications and Information Resources Committee, will provide short updates on what the folk at the national office (these people) have been working on. You can learn about

  • New resources online
  • News from departments
  • Continuing Education opportunities for church leaders
  • Upcoming events
  • Who’s been travelling where

The first edition of Info! will be sent out to parishes across Canada by early March. Members of the Council of General Synod, national committees and bishops’ offices will also receive the email newsletter.

If you would like to get the newsletter yourself, please fill out this form. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Info! is meant to be an informative, interesting resource for all Canadian Anglicans. Please share it widely, by forwarding it on to your parish committees, printing out stories for your church’s bulletin board, or just talking about it with people you know. Please also send us your feedback. Our work is your work. We want to be in touch.
