Andrews elected Prolocutor

The Rev. Dr. Stephen Andrews, President of Thorneloe University, an Anglican federated college of Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ont. (Diocese of Algoma), was elected prolocutor of General Synod on the fifth ballot Thursday evening.

Dr. Andrews, former Dean of Saskatchewan, holds a doctorate in Biblical studies from the University of Cambridge, England. He received 156 votes.

Runner-up was Canon (lay) Robert L. Falby, QC. Chancellor of the Diocese of Toronto, who received 133 votes.
