Canon (Lay) Robert L. Falby, Chancellor of the Diocese of Toronto, was elected Friday as Deputy Prolocutor of General Synod at its triennial meeting in Winnipeg.
A member of General Synod since 1995, he was a key negotiator in the residential schools settlement. He has also received the Anglican Award of Merit.
The deputy prolocutor is the third senior officer of General Synod, after the primate and prolocutor.
