Worldwide Day of Prayer for Burma on Oct. 21

The Anglican Church of Australia and its partners are promoting a worldwide day of prayer for Burma on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Over the past few weeks, thousands of Buddhist monks, nuns, and other peoples of Burma have peacefully protested against the military dictatorship currently in power. The military junta has responded with violence, and many have been injured and killed.

Canadian Anglicans are encouraged to pray for peace and justice within Burma. Peoples of Burma—all ethnic groups and religions—need to be upheld in prayer during this time of unrest and pain.
