Church history essay competition announced

To mark the 50th year of publication of the Journal of the Canadian Church Historical Society, the society is offering a prize of $500 for the best essay in English or French in Canadian church history written in 1999-2000 by a graduate student enrolled at a Canadian university. The funding for this award is made possible by the Thomas R. Millman Endowment Fund.

All essays submitted will be considered for possible publication in the Journal of the Canadian Church Historical Society

Essays may deal with any aspect of Canadian church history and should not exceed 7,000 words in length, be double spaced and in triplicate. Recent issues of the Journal of the Canadian Church Historical Society may prove helpful in selecting subjects for the essay. The Journal is available at most Anglican theological school libraries or from the General Synod Archives, 600 Jarvis St., Toronto ON M4Y 2J6, (416) 924 9199 ext. 279.
