Donations can continue despite postal strike

Loyal and prospective donors to the Anglican Church of Canada can maintain their generosity online or by phone during the Canada Post lockout.

The Anglican Church of Canada uses direct mail to communicate with donors and the postal strike has delayed the launch of three key appeals: the Anglican Journal Appeal, which supports the church’s editorially independent newspaper; the Anglican Appeal, the national church’s annual fundraising appeal; and Hands Across Niagara, a new appeal that supports justice partnerships in the Diocese of Niagara.

Donors are encouraged to donate online:

Donors can also give by calling 1-866-924-9192. They can set up monthly giving by credit card or chequing account and can cancel this arrangement at any time.

“Anglican Church of Canada donors are the lifeblood of the ministries of the national church and its partners,” said Michelle Hauser, manager of annual giving.

“Whether they give $5 or $500, the messages of support and encouragement that so often accompany their donations are a continual source of inspiration to the staff at Church House. We value our donors beyond measure.”
