The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is pleased to announce the completion of a successful search for a Communications Coordinator. Diana Mavunduse will fill this important position in PWRDF starting March 6, 2006.

Ms Mavunduse is known to The Anglican Church of Canada in her current role as Communications Assistant/Web Writer. Ms Mavunduse has several years experience with communications management spanning three continents in the non-profit sector. Her experience includes work with Action by Churches Together (ACT), the World Council of Churchers Decade to Overcome Violence Programme, and the Southern African Research and Documentation Centre.

The Communications Coordinator is part of the Public Engagement Team. The team’s goal is to engage PWRDF’s membership in the continuous journey along which we move from the awareness of global justice issues to the informed action that is rooted in faith and responsive to the gospel call for social transformation. The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in this task as she is responsible for PWRDF’s communication plan.

Diana brings unique experience in both international and community engagement communication programs. She will bring this experience to play as she invites the PWRDF community into a deeper understanding of the work through stories and publications. Diana’s commitment to the ecumenical movement and social justice is not limited to her work, but is expressed through several volunteer commitments with AfricaFiles and ZimAlternative Cultural Association in Canada.

Please join us in celebrating the strengthening of the PWRDF team by welcoming and supporting Diana to the position of Communications Coordinator.
