Anglican chief governing body to meet in Halifax

From June 3 to 11, more than 500 people will gather in Halifax, N.S. for the national triennial meeting of the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC). Uniting under the nautical theme “Feeling the Winds of God—Charting a New Course,” General Synod members will make decisions about the national church in the context of worship and prayer.

Canadian staff visits Haiti partners

“Come and see.” This was the invitation the Rev. Canon Dr. Ogé Beauvoir of Haiti extended to his partners in the Anglican Church of Canada after the Jan. 12 earthquake. Now Dr. Andrea Mann, General Synod’s global relations coordinator, has taken him up on this offer and is visiting the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti from March 23 to 30.
